Hazir
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Hazir is a free RSVP and guest-headcount app built and maintained by Anurag Roy. This page explains, in plain words, what information the app handles and why.
What hosts give us
- An account: your name, email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes by the authentication provider (Supabase Auth); the app cannot see or show your password.
- Event details you enter: event name, occasion, date, venue, message to guests, deadlines and an optional banner image.
What guests give us
- Guests answer without an account: name, whether they are coming, how many adults and kids, meal choices, expected arrival time and an optional note.
- An answer is visible to the host of that event. The guest page shows each visitor only the event details and, on their own personal or saved link, their own answer; other guests' answers are not shown.
How the information is used
- To run the service: showing the host a live headcount, guest list, meal and arrival summaries, and letting guests answer or update their answer.
- Banner images are stored on Supabase Storage at a public link, because invite pages and WhatsApp/Facebook link previews can only load images that are publicly reachable. Do not upload a banner you need to keep private.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no analytics or tracking cookies, and no selling of your information.
- Browser storage on your device holds only the host's sign-in session and, on the landing page's interactive sample, sample answers that stay on your own device.
Where the data lives
The database, login system and image storage run on Supabase, and the website is hosted on Vercel. These providers handle the data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Who can see the data
- Each host sees only their own events and guests, enforced at the database level.
- The site owner (the developer) maintains Hazir and can access event and guest information to operate the service, fix problems and prevent abuse.
Keeping and deleting data
- A host can delete an event at any time. This removes its guest list and answers from the live database and deletes its banner images from storage. Providers may keep backups for a limited period under their own retention policies.
- To delete your host account and everything in it, contact the owner through anuragroy.tech.
